Hycosan Dual Eye Drops information

What is Hycosan Dual?

Hycosan Dual are lubricating eye drops that help to soothe dry eyes and calm itching, burning and irritation. Hycosan Dual are an ideal choice for people who suffer from lipid deficient dry eyes or Meibomian Gland Dysfunction, which prevents the production of oil within tears.

Each 7.5ml bottle of Hycosan Dual contains Sodium Hyaluronate to help moisturise the eye and Ectoin to prevent tears evaporating, creating further moisture loss, and to protect the eye against inflammation and allergens.

Like other Hycosan products, these eye drops are preservative-free and can be used for up to 6 months after opening. They are also compatible for use with both hard and soft contact lenses.

What is Hycosan Dual used for and how does it work?

Hycosan Dual eye drops offer relief from symptoms of dry eyes that may be caused by lipid deficiency or Meibomian Gland Dysfunction.

Our eyes rely upon a specific environment to remain calm and comfortable. The surface of the eye is made up of 3 thin layers known as a tear film. The outer layer is a lipid or oil layer that prevents moisture evaporating out of the eyes or tears continuously rolling down our cheeks.

In cases where the lipid layer is damaged the eyes are more susceptible to drying, irritation and inflammation. Hycosan Plus contains Ectoin, which helps to stabilise the tear film by adding oil back into the eye, protecting against allergens, inflammation and tear evaporation.
