Diprobase Information

What is Diprobase cream?

Diprobase advanced eczema cream is an emollient (a moisturising cream) that offers long-lasting hydration for very dry, irritated skin that is caused by skin conditions such as eczema. Diprobase also protects against irritants such as soaps and detergents and prevents skin from drying out even further.

Although Diprobase cream effectively relieves dry skin symptoms, some people may choose to use one over the other or use both but at different times of the day.

Diprobase is not a steroid cream. Instead, it uses special moisturising ingredients to calm and hydrate dry skin while also helping to keep moisture in the skin.

What is Diprobase used for?

You may sometimes see or hear Diprobase cream being referred to as Diprobase eczema cream, this is because it is very effective at protecting, soothing and moisturising dehydrated, chapped, irritated skin that is a symptom of eczema.

Diprobase cream can also be used to relieve dry skin caused by dermatitis, psoriasis and ichthyosis (extremely dry, scaly skin). If you would like more information about dry skin conditions and treatment, please go to our Eczema and Dermatitis page.

Diprobase on the face

It is safe to apply Diprobase to the face to treat dry, eczema-prone skin. When applying Diprobase to your face, you should avoid contact with your eyes and mouth.

Diprobase for babies

Diprobase cream are suitable for use on babies.

How does Diprobase work?

Diprobase eczema cream absorbs into the skin to soothe irritated, chapped and raw skin by adding back the moisture that was lost.

What is the difference between Diprobase and Zerobase cream?

Diprobase and Zerobase are both brands of emollients containing the same ingredients, they are both effective treatments that moisturise and protect dry skin caused by conditions such as eczema and dermatitis.

Diprobase directions

Diprobase eczema cream is for use on the skin only and is suitable for use in children and adults to treat itchy, dry, irritated skin caused by skin issues such as eczema.

For both children and adults, apply enough Diprobase cream to cover the affected area with a thin layer. Massage the advanced cream gently into the skin in the direction that the hair lies.

Diprobase can be applied as often as is needed to keep your skin moisturised. Some people may find they need to apply the protective cream up to 4 times a day.

How many times a day can you use Diprobase?

You can use Diprobase eczema cream as often as needed to keep your skin moisturised and comfortable. For many people, applying the cream up to 4 times a day provides the best results, especially if your skin is very dry or irritated. Remember, it's important to apply a thin layer each time, covering all the affected areas gently. Listen to your skin's needs; you may need to adjust how often you apply Diprobase based on how your skin feels and responds.
