Replens MD Information

What is Replens MD?

Suffering from vaginal dryness? Replens MD Moisturiser is clinically proven to provide long-lasting relief from pain and irritation by deeply moisturising at the source of the problem, high-up inside the vagina.

Using the applicator, Replens MD can be inserted easily inside the vagina where it provides long-acting hydration and lubrication for up to 3 days. Regular use of Replens MD has been proven to prevent vaginal dryness from reoccurring, providing you with more comfort every day.

Replens MD comes in packs of 6 single-use applicators or a 35g pack with a reusable applicator.

What is Replens MD used for?

Replens MD Moisturiser provides symptomatic relief from vaginal dryness, otherwise known as Vaginal Atrophy.

Vaginal dryness is very common and is caused by an imbalance in hormones that result in the vagina lacking its natural moisture; it can affect women of any age. Discomfort, itching and pain during intercourse are all symptoms of vaginal dryness.

Some causes of vaginal dryness include:

  • Menopause
  • Pregnancy and breast-feeding
  • Using tampons
  • Certain medications such as antidepressants or cancer treatments
  • Stress

If you are suffering from vaginal dryness that has become persistent, you should speak to a doctor for further advice.

How does Replens MD work?

Replens MD contains ingredients that work in 3 steps leaving the vagina moisturised for up to 3 days.

  1. Once inserted high up inside the vagina it coats the cells that have become dehydrated with a layer of moisturiser.
  2. For the next 3 days, moisture is continuously penetrated inside the vaginal cells replenishing its natural lubrication.
  3. As the dry cells are shed they are replaced with new healthier, hydrated cells. With regular use, Replens MD can help prevent vaginal dryness from reoccurring.

Replens MD warnings

Replens MD side effects

It is uncommon for women to experience side effects when using Replens MD. It does not contain estrogen and therefore does not cause the same adverse effects associated with hormone therapies.

In rare cases, some women may experience localised skin reactions such as irritation or a rash. If this occurs stop using this product. If the symptoms do not improve speak to a doctor or pharmacist for advice.

Because Replens MD causes dry vaginal cells to be shed it may cause increased discharge or residue. This will usually improve when used regularly.
