What is Aveeno Cream and what is it used for?

Aveeno Cream is a gentle yet deeply nourishing moisturiser suitable for babies, children and adults from 3 months old. It leaves even dry, sensitive and eczema-prone skin feeling more supple and comfortable. Aveeno products use Colloidal Oatmeal as an emollient to lock in moisture to the skin and form a protective layer to prevent further damage or breakdown.

How does Aveeno Cream work?

Colloidal Oatmeal is the active ingredient used in Aveeno Cream. It is a substance made by grinding oat grains and is used in moisturising creams as an emollient to help nourish dry skin by drawing and locking in moisture.

Colloidal Oatmeal also is known for its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties helping to reduce redness and irritation while at the same time protecting the skin against damage and infection caused by daily wear and tear.

Aveeno Cream side effects

Aveeno Cream is unlikely to cause unpleasant side effects. If you develop any localised irritation to the areas of skin in which you have applied this product you should stop using it straight away. If your symptoms do not improve within a few days you should speak to a doctor or pharmacist for advice.
