Dermol 500 Lotion Information
What is Dermol 500?
Dermol 500 Lotion is an emollient, moisturising lotion that also contains active ingredients that can help prevent the build-up of bacteria that breed infections. This product can be used as a leave-on lotion or as a soap substitute to deeply hydrate the skin, locking moisture in and protecting it against further drying that can cause breakdown and irritation.
Dermol 500 Lotion is a highly effective treatment for dry skin conditions such as eczema and dermatitis while also being incredibly gentle on the skin making it a great choice of moisturiser for the whole family including babies.
What is Dermol 500 used for?
Emollient creams such as Dermol 500 Lotion are effective treatment options for dry skin conditions such as:
- Eczema
- Dermatitis
Not only does Dermol 500 hydrate red, itchy, flaking and inflamed skin it also contains antimicrobial agents that prevent irritated skin from becoming infected and making your skin condition worse.
How does Dermol 500 Lotion work?
Dermol 500 Lotion contains four active ingredients that provide moisturising, emollient action as well as protecting the skin against a build-up of bacteria.
Liquid paraffin and isopropyl myristate are both emollients. They help to keep the skin soft and hydrated by locking moisture into the skin and they prevent further irritation and drying of the skin by rebuilding its protective barrier function.
Benzalkonium chloride and chlorhexidine dihydrochloride are antimicrobials, which work by targeting and killing bacteria on the skin that cause infections due to scratching that can lead to eczema and other skin conditions from becoming more serious.
